Dementia Oxfordshire

Head of service

E-mail: peterjohnson@ageukoxfordshire.org.uk

Peter joined Dementia Oxfordshire from Age Concern Hampshire and brings a wealth of experience in building partnerships and delivering projects and services.

“Dementia Oxfordshire is an innovative service providing support for people living with dementia from the point of diagnosis until end of life or a move to a residential home.  We provide specialist non-medical advice to those with a diagnosis, their families, and carers. We are a single point of contact, helping people to plan for the future and live meaningful and independent lives whilst managing the challenges that a dementia diagnosis brings.

Previously, Peter has worked in local authorities, primarily in partnership development, and in the more distant past, was a Country Director with the youth development charity, Raleigh International, leading their expedition programme in Namibia.

We make the most of the limited resources we have, collaborating with Memory Clinics and GP practices, charities and community organisations, to support people using a person-centred approach.  I am proud of our team who provide support to a very high standard.”
